Special Needs Service Area

Bethel Head Start has been a regional champion in providing quality and innovative services to children with special needs. Any child with a special need will be given the opportunity to learn, grow, play and develop to his/her fullest potential.

Here are a few samples of the services we provide our children at Bethel Head Start:

• Integrated and supported classrooms across the program.
• Daily consultation and support from mental health specialists.
• Interim physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and counseling services at "no charge" to parents
• Numerous community collaborations to support our children in the areas of developmental disabilities and behavioral health.
• Advocacy for children with special needs at ten local school districts
• Workshops on various topics to assist parents with their specific needs and concerns.
